Fellow [Re]builders:

The Rebuilding Together Fox Valley Board of Directors has elected to cancel National Rebuilding Day, scheduled for Saturday, September 12, 2020, due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

It is out of an abundance of caution we take this step; the health and safety of our volunteers and homeowners must come first.

Though we have established detailed policies and procedures to ensure best practices are followed in limiting contact with other individuals, utilizing proper Personal Protective Equipment, and employing extensive sanitization standards, the continually increasing number of new COVID-19 cases has made our largest impact day no longer possible.

Though we will not be hosting National Rebuilding Day, our critical home repairs to make homes safe and healthy continues. Rebuilding Together Fox Valley will be facilitating individual impact days for many of our business partners, completing home repairs in the West Appleton Neighborhood while following social distance guidelines and sanitization protocols.

Second Saturdays

Beginning in October of 2020, Rebuilding Together Fox Valley will be hosting project days on the second Saturday of each month. Join us for 4 hours a month of making a difference in the homes and lives of neighbors in need. Your assistance will empower us to complete more projects and further the impact of the funding we receive. Personal Protective Equipment will be provided to all volunteers and group sizes will be limited for each project, allowing us to make a difference while maintaining social distancing practices. All we need is you! Additional details to follow in upcoming Inside the Toolbox newsletters.

Moving Forward

As Summer peaks and we look to the oncoming Fall, many variables remain unknown as to what the future holds for our communities. We ask that you remember our low-income neighbors in need, particularly older adults, people with disabilities, and our honored veterans. The need for critical home repairs, many of which have a profound impact on the health and safety of those we serve, does not go away during a pandemic. Our homeowners are depending on us more than ever. Join us in remaining focused on serving others in need, and doing our part to stop the spread of COVID-19.
